Xavier Ortiz Salazar (Barcelona,1973) is an architect who graduated from ETSAB-Barcelona School of Architecture and a member of COAC-Catalonia Architects Asociation since 2001 (Equivalent to First Class architect in Japan) .
Before establishing his own studio he has worked with Florian Beigel Architects (London , 1997-1998) , Foreign Office Architects (London / Tokio , 1998-2002) and Terradas Arquitectes (Barcelona , 2003-2004)
Between 2004 and 2008 he did his Phd studies at Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB) . The research included one year scholarship to study at Waseda University (Tokyo)
In 2007 he began his activity as an independent architect in the city of Viladecans (Barcelona)
Since 2022 he lives and works between the cities of Barcelona (Spain) and Tsukuba (Japan).
